CONTENT, METHODOLOGY & ASSESSMENT
Teachers will be assessed on the tutor´s evaluation of teachers ‘performance throughout the course and on a final course project.
The Final Project is a practical activity in which teachers apply the ideas, concepts,
frameworks or activities they have learned during the course to their own professional context. Some examples of Final Projects in previous editions of the course have been:
• a draft of a syllabus designed around film and video for the teacher’s school
• a plan to implement an extra-curricula film club at the teacher’s school
• a plan to integrate short films into a teacher’s classes to raise awareness of social issues not normally covered in course book
• a plan to integrate an Extensive Viewing programme into a teacher’s school
• a lesson plan designed around a silent short film a teacher found engaging and moving
• a plan to use short films and video in a teacher’s online classes.
Whatever teachers decide to do their Final Project on should be personally and professionally useful to them in their teaching context. Teachers should submit the Final Project by one month after the final course session. The tutor will access and give feedback to teachers on their Final Project within 7 days of receiving the document.

The course will be carried out ONLINE in 2 periods of 9 hours per period (3 hours on 3 consecutive days).
