PRESENTATION
When we share knowledge, we also share culture and heritage. Language is the tool we use to share this knowledge but it is also a powerful tool in preserving and expressing culture. In education, developing students' awareness of other cultures promotes empathy and relationship building. It strengthens our European and even global dimension and supports the development of within and between educational communities.
When we work towards creative goals, we learn more about ourselves. Being creative also provides us with another way to communicate, it gives us a voice and it can even channel feelings and emotions into compelling works of art, music, drama and so on. By engaging in creative activities students can develop an appreciation for diversity and enhance their metacognitive skills.
Coyle's (2008) 4Cs Framework asserts that effective CLIL integrates Content, Cognition, Communication, and Culture, promoting knowledge, cognitive skills, communication and intercultural awareness.

Reflecting on the gap between CLIL and ELT. Effective strategies and practices related to the teaching of linguistic and non-linguistic content to plan a lesson.
Martes 28 de enero, 17:30 a 20:00, en el CEP de Santander.
Enhancing student’s social and emotional learning. Building interpersonal and collaborative skills using different strategies. Gamification.
Miércoles 29 de enero, 17:30 a 20:00, en el CEP de Santander.
Using the CLIL classroom to promote diversity and inclusivity. Hands on practice.
Lunes 3 de febrero, 17:00 a 19:00, videoconferencia a través de Teams.
Sharing experiences of how we can become involved in outgoing and incoming learning mobility activities and partnerships in the local and wider community.

CONDICIONES DE CERTIFICACIÓN

SPEAKER
Moira Allen is a teacher trainer with over 20 years of experience in bilingual education and English language teaching, specializing in CLIL, methodologies and teaching approaches and strategies. She has a Masters in Bilingual Education and runs training courses for teachers and language learners worldwide.
