INTRODUCCIÓN
This course is designed to meet day to day needs of pre-primary and primary teachers in the classroom. Different techniques and motivational tools will be provided to help teachers make the most of lessons.
OBJETIVOS
• Explore how children learn and how we can adapt lessons to their needs.
• Discuss activities and techniques that appeal to these age groups.
• Investigate ways to increase motivation and curiosity in class.
• Reflect on activities that can be applied to lessons and how to adapt them.
CONTENIDOS
• The importance of beginnings and endings.
• The ‘basics’ when teaching young learners.
• Making grammar more enjoyable through games.
• Creating curiosity in the classroom/CLIL.
• Drama for young learners.
• Making music meaningful.
• Evaluation and feedback.
METODOLOGÍA
Active and participative
Teachers will complete daily reflection tasks and end of course feedback/evaluation
PONENTE
Nina Lauder has been teaching at all levels since 1990 and for the past eleven years has been involved in educational consulting and teacher training. She is one of the authors of OUP's series for Primary, Explorers and is the editor of the online Oxford Magazine for Pre-Primary and Primary Teachers.
