PRESENTATION
Cooperative Learning offers an innovative approach to teaching by promoting cooperation, communication and critical thinking in the classroom. By combining this powerful methodology with motivating materials such as picture books, videos, games and projects, teachers can create dynamic, hands-on learning experiences that captivate students and boost their motivation.
This course is designed to empower teachers with practical tools and techniques for incorporating Cooperative Learning into English and CLIL classrooms. Participants will explore a variety of cooperative strategies and dynamics, experiencing them firshand through interactive and practical examples. Using real world materials, such as stories, visual media and interactive games, participants will discover how to create meaningful lessons that integrate thinking skills, routines and language development. These activities not only support the development of linguistic, communicative and cognitive competences, but also align seamlessly with innovative teaching practices emphasized in LOMLOE.

Lunes 17 de febrero, 17:30 a 19:30, videoconferencia a través de Teams. Cooperative techniques and real-life materials (picture books, games, videos and experiments). Practical application.
Miércoles 19 de febrero, 17:30 a 19:30, videoconferencia a través de Teams.
How to reflect on learning in a meaningful way: Using thinking routines with authentic materials and real-world examples.
Lunes 3 de marzo, 17:30-20:30 en el CEP de Santander.
Exhibition of real-life materials and specific examples on how to use them.

SPEAKER
Cristina de Vega Benavides holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting. She has been working at CEIP Clemente Fernández de la Dehesa (Medina del Campo) for the last 12 years. The school is part of the MECD-British Council agreement where she teaches Literacy, Social Studies, Science and Art.
