PRESENTATION
Children love stories, songs, chants and games and teachers know it. In the classroom, they are vehicles for motivating activities with rich language and provide a meaningful learning context. However, a balanced, planned and structured approach is required to maximise the potential for learning, so very young learners can thrive.
This face-to-face course is ideal for teachers who already have teaching experience but are relatively new to teaching at Pre-Primary and Primary levels. During the course, you will develop an awareness and understanding of the characteristics of young children and the type of activities that can help them develop. You will also develop your competencies for creating a set of learning activities and exploiting them effectively in the classroom.
There will be a combination of trainer input, practical demonstration and experiential learning, discussion and reflection. Teachers will be encouraged to share ideas.
